About Dr Nicholas Leith

Dr Nicholas Leith graduated from medicine at the University of Sydney in 2009. He completed his junior medical officer training at Royal North Shore Hospital. Following this he undertook a Master of Surgery degree, working as a research fellow at the Kolling Deafness Research Centre, whilst also working as an ENT Registrar at Royal North Shore Hospital. In 2014 he commenced surgical training in ENT at Sydney Children’s Hospital and has worked at numerous hospitals throughout NSW including: Liverpool, Westmead, Gosford, Prince of Wales, Concord, Royal North Shore and John Hunter Adult and Children’s hospital. He is a VMO at The Northern Beaches Hospital and Pittwater Day Surgery. He is actively involved in the teaching and training of junior ENT doctors.
Dr Leith is interested in all areas of general ENT. He has a particular interest in paediatric ENT disorders including glue ear, recurrent otitis media, recurrent tonsillitis, snoring/sleep apnoea and nasal obstruction. In adults his interests include nasal obstruction, allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps and exostoses.
In his spare time he enjoys surfing and spending time with his young family.
Dr Leith’s practice encompasses the management of all general ENT conditions in both adults and children, including:
Glue ear & hearing loss
Recurrent middle ear infections
Snoring & sleep apnoea
Nasal obstruction
Chronic sinusitis & nasal polyps
Allergic rhinitis (hayfever)
Exostoses (surfer's ear)
Tympanic membrane (eardrum) perforations
Recurrent tonsillitis
Nasal bone fractures
Recurrent epistaxis (nosebleeds)
Hoarse voice
